Bohemian & Brass

One of the many perks of working at SI Swimsuit is the ability to research & work with many fabulous jewelry designers as well as swimwear. Last year we did a bohemian chic story & used many bright, colorful, earthy pieces. One designer in particular that was featured is Heather Gardner. Today I came to my desk to a little surprise and boy did it make this dreary rainy worthwhile. Heather Gardner’s designs have been featured in magazines such as SI Swimsuit, Vogue, Glamour, Lucky, and others. She makes amazing pieces that can instantly take your look from daytime to night, and add a little flair to an otherwise standard outfit. So what surprise was at my desk from her gorgeous collections?!

This gorgeous Dream Catcher necklace was awaiting me. I love all things boho, fringe, etc. So it fits my personal style to perfection!!! I instantly put it on and am already envisioning outfits I can wear this with.  I recently bought the most stellar jumpsuit from Urban Outfitters (see below), that this necklace would compliment perfectly!!!  The jumpsuit looks a lot sleeker on the model than on me but oh well I still love it!

Also before I sign off for the day, another jewelry designer you all should check out is Reborn Designs by Samantha Barnett Evans. My friend recently got a brass Missouri necklace (her home state), and the second she posted it to Instagram, I freaked out and had to have one of my own. I went to the website, filled in a little description of what I wanted…and one week later…

This arrived in my mailbox, a little piece of New Jersey perfection with a heart (my little custom flair). I haven’t taken it off since. You can get any state you want, either in brass (which is sealed to prevent oxidation), copper or patina, or an enameled version for which you can pick a multitude of colors. They are reasonably priced for something so personal and dear to the heart…pun intended.  xx
